DENIM CARE GUIDE

TIPS FOR YOUR DENIM

Of course you want your favourite pair of jeans to last as long as possible, but what's the best way to take good care of your denim? We give you a few tips:

DON'T WASH

Jeans do not need to be washed continuously. In fact, ideally, you'll go months without washing them. This way your denim will last longer and the environment will be spared. Washing too often can cause your jeans to fade, discolour and lose their fit. Do you still want to wash? Then do this with cold water, wash your denim inside out and in a laundry bag.

AVOID BLEEDING

So it is best not to wash your jeans, but do you have a new pair that bleeds a little? Then wash it first with vinegar, in a laundry ball or in the detergent compartment. This will reduce bleeding.

LET IT DRY NATURALLY

Never use the dryer, but let your jeans hang or dry flat. This will help prevent possible shrinkage and is better for the environment. Ironing also isn't good for your denim, as the heat from an iron can weaken the fibers.

EASY TRICK

An extra tip to get your denim fresh again without washing: put your jeans in a freezer bag or pillowcase (and make sure you close it well), put it in the freezer and take it out after 24 hours. Let it thaw thoroughly and your jeans are like new again!

REMOVE STAINS AND ODORS

Spotted a stain? Use a damp cloth or old toothbrush with mild soap to remove it. To get unpleasant odors out of your denim, it is best to hang it outside and let it air out.
